we know love is sensation
through the lift of my language
in the corner of my leg landed by touch
the motion of a torch
entered a wave of laughter
the time a child's gaze caught me in view
electricity flowed forward to our mouths
a scorpion paused under a shadow near by
the day broke in half
and voices attempt at best to dress
a new hour with red
an ear knows infinite sounds
swirl in my belly
stirring a sensation
everyone would hold
